School to remain closed till December 31
Bhubaneswar, Odisha: The decision to reopen the school this month has been put on hold by the state government of Odisha. Therefore, schools will not be open for grades nine to twelve in November. The decision to open the class this month has been put on hold. Schools and Mass Education Minister Sameer Ranjan Das reacted. “There is a risk of a second phase of infection in the state till 2nd December,” he said. The decision was taken with this in mind for the welfare of the students.
Odisha Government Fears Corona Outbreak
In many states, including Andhra Pradesh, teachers and students have been affected by the outbreak of Corona virus. This raised concerns for many people. This month, the Department of Public Education decided to reopen the ninth to twelfth grade schools. But the decision has been reversed in anticipation of the escalating situation in Andhra Pradesh. Why such Decision?
“There is a possibility of a second wave of COVID-19 in the State next month. So we have decided that as of now schools will not re-open. They will continue to be closed,” the education minister Sameer Dash stated.
However online learning for Students shall be continued and encouraged. Teaching and non-teaching staff can be called to the school for online teaching, tele-councelling and other related works, the news stated.
Will School Reopen on New Year 2021?
The news about schools to remain closed till 31st December, 2020 has been confirmed and this shows the Failure to conduct any physical class in the year 2020 as Schools have been closed from March 2020. However, It is still not confirmed as if the school is to Reopen on New Year, 1st January 2021. This decision will be taken by the Education Department along with the Government after consultation with ministers and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik depending on the situation. Situation may recover soon. Students shall continue their studies through online classes until School Re-opening.
